Movie review: Steve Jobs (2015)
The movie is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs. This film, unlike the previous film about Steve Jobs, Jobs (2013) does not focus specifically on Apple Computer’s ups and downs. This film instead, focuses on the personal development of Steve Jobs. The film deftly describes Steve Jobs’ evolution from a scrappy, irreverent, and arrogant innovator to one of the most creative, strategic and visionary leaders in the 20th and 21st centuries. A careful balance between the critique and glorification of Steve Jobs is also maintained. Music was very intelligently used to depict the appropriate emotion for each scene. The movie also does a brilliant job of describing the nasty and ignored bits of capitalism and entrepreneurship, such as competitors smearing each other and copying from each other.
