After following Moylo’s for months on Instagram and driving past the restaurant more times than we can even remember, we finally decided to give Moylo’s a go. Upon walking in, we were immediately impressed by the décor of the restaurant. Moylo’s easily has the best interior of any restaurant that we have been to. There are quirky signs on the wall, including, “We don’t have Wi-Fi, talk to each other.” On the ceiling are assortments of coloured crates where the lights for the restaurant are suspended. There are little trinkets scattered around the place that truly add character to this homely little burger shack. Since there were three of us, we ordered a portion of onion rings, parmesan truffle fries, the ‘hot chick’, and the Moylo’s burger. For drinks, we went for the salted caramel milkshake along with their signature cinnaberry iced tea. Out of all the items, the only one that we were disappointed with was the onion rings. The ring batter didn’t hit home for us. Apart from that, Moylo’s is a tremendous success. In comparison to the competition, Moylo’s is clearly the market leader in all things burger. The dipping sauces, especially the truffle mayo, were some of the best we have ever had and we were provided with a surprisingly generous portion for a side of fries. The parmesan truffle fries were about as good as fries can get as they were thinner and more finely cut. The Parmesan on top did the trick for us, and the addition of truffle easily sealed the deal. The salted caramel milkshake was what you would expect: sweet and thick.

The iced tea was a clear winner out of the drinks for us; the unique ‘cinnaberry’ flavour was unlike anything we had tried before and was a pleasant change from the regular iced tea flavours you would normally find. The Moylo’s burger was as juicy as it can get. The addition of an onion ring completes the burger and the secret sauce was the cherry on top. In addition to the burger, the dish included a small side of coleslaw that was perfect. It had just the right balance of mayonnaise and cabbage and could even be put on top of the patty upon request. The hot chick, however, was the better burger out of the two. True to its name, it truly does have a spicy kick that might be intolerable for some. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the sauce used in the burger was very similar to something you would find in a juicy set of chicken wings. The service was prompt and the servers were all-smiles, even offering advice on what to try at the restaurant. All in all, a meal for one comprised of a burger, a side and a drink could be between AED 70 and AED 85, but is worth every last dirham. With almost unnoticeable flaws albeit the onion ring batter, this place was a true gem, and we can see ourselves going back very soon.
