There are loads of things we all see every day but pay no attention to. We have compiled a list of 7 things you will have probably seen at some point but never noticed before.

 

Hole in the pen lid

You were probably told that it keeps the pen from drying out but it’s completely wrong. It exists to lower the risk of suffocation as some people have the habit of chewing pens and risk accidental inhalation.

 

Bumps on the F & J key on your keyboard

The “F” and “J” keys on the keyboard are home keys. The little bumps on the two keys help you locate the home position without looking at it.

 

The tab on your soda can

It is actually meant to hold your straw in place. All you have to do is pop open your soda and swing it around.

 

Holes in the plane window

It helps compensate for the air pressure as there is a huge pressure difference between the inside and outside of the plane. It also prevents the window from fogging up.

 

The dot next to your camera on your iPhone

The purpose of the dot is that it is a microphone for the back camera.

 

Arrow next to the gas sign

It helps you detect the side on which the gas cap is placed on the car.

 

Studs in your pocket jeans

It is known as “rivets”. It is placed at the seams of the trousers which is most likely to tear because of pressure as helps strengthen the trouser.
