This year, the Dubai Lynx received closed to 2,500 entries, which is a lot more than the 2,279 that were received last year. Just as the entries grew this year, the global jury increased to 43 members this year. The festival even had over 68 speakers, from all over the world, to share their perspectives and wisdom in Arabic as well as English. The festival gave opportunities to young students and others to hear from the world’s leading agencies and brands, as well as several off-the-wall creative thinkers and doers, who shared their knowledge about the current and future trends of the industry,
This year’s festival introduced the new Arabic stage, which had sessions conducted in Arabic, which was quite interesting. Our favourites were New Perspective On Arabic Creativity by Fadi Elchamaa, who is the chief creative officer of TripleTwo, and, of course, Abla Fahita, who is an online Egyptian Star.
Another amazing thing Dubai Lynx introduced was the Tech Talks, which offered knowledge and news on the latest ground-breaking trends to enter the market. There were several seminars on how to understand digital advertising by integrating double click options, Google Analytics, impressions, codes, and HTML5 mailers to acquire more compelling data that can create engagements on social media platforms.
After soaking up all the knowledge and information, delegates had the opportunity to attend networking events to catch up with speakers and make contacts from the region.
