AUD holds Semi Blood Drive

More than a hundred and fifty staff, faculty, and students from the AUD community participated today in the university’s semi-annual blood drive.

AUD’s Blood Donation Campaign is an ongoing humanitarian tradition organised semi-annually by the AUD Health Centre on campus, with the support of the Peer Health Educators (PHEs) student club in association with the Blood Bank Department at Latifa Hospital in Dubai. The AUD Community assembled to donate blood and give hope to children suffering from thalassemia.

Specialists from Latifa Hospital assisted the AUD Health Centre personnel in performing haemoglobin blood tests, medical check-ups, and screening for each donor to ensure that they are eligible to undergo the blood donation procedure.

The AUD Health Centre promotes, improves, and maintains a healthy campus environment by providing accessible, high-quality care, health supervision, and educational programs, which encourages students, faculty, and staff to preserve their overall wellbeing.
